My Cat From Hell by Kyla Stan

Hello everyone!
So as you know, I have been keeping up with the show "Worst Cooks In America" on Food Network, but I really dont want to give a spoiler away as to who won the last episode. So this week, I will be reviewing "My Cat From Hell" on Animal Planet. This show focuses the many behavioral problems that cat owners will have, and the causes thay are behind the problems. To help the pet owners with these issues is the legendary "cat daddy" Jackson Galaxy, who is a musician by night and cat behaviorist by day.
My baby boy, Chippy!
About two years ago, I adopted my cat from a petsmart cat shelter. He was only about a year old at the time, had a lathargic look from lack of enrichment and went through a hell of his own. As a kitten, he was severely abused. He was shot in the leg with a pellet gun, possibly starved, had bronchitis, and his tongue was either burned electrically or by chemicals. His whole family had been killed by the monster who hurt him. Out of all the cats there, I really connected with him. At this time in my life, I had a lot of trust issues due to past relationships and a lack of self confidence. My new cat really helped me learn to trust, and I helped him too. I wanted to connect with him as much as possible, so I began watching this show to learn more about his behavior.

This week on "My Cat From Hell" viewers met two cats named Burberry and Paradox. Burberry is a semi-blind and completely deaf cat. To begin with, this is considered having a pet with special needs. This cat in particular was marking up the walls with urine, and he also hits and hisses when his owners go near him. He also fought with a cat that lived with him named Paradox who is only a kitten. Jackson identified the problem as Burberry not having enough enrichment and a space to call his own. He instructed that Burberry needs to play more with his owners to create a bond, and that he needs a place to call his own, like a bed or a kitty condo. Burberry soon began to accept his owners as his family once again, began playing and living with Paradox normally, and just began acting like a well behaved cat again. I always try to take in these tips when I watch the show, so incase my cat starts acting weird, I can know why.
PS: here is a link to some of the cats Jackson had to deal with. Yikes!
